Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut into bite-sized cubes.
Step 2
Heat ½ tbsp oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Heat the remaining ½ tbsp oil in the pan over medium-high heat. Add tofu cubes in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for 3 minutes until golden on the bottom.
Step 4
Flip tofu pieces. Drizzle soy sauce over them. Add garlic and ginger back to the pan and toss to coat. Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
Step 5
Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, or cilantro. Serve warm.
